What is it like to go on stage for the first time and face the eager eyes of the audience? – Feeling the sensitive ears of your own family, but also being allowed to play for the people you most love?
The challenge of music – it is consistently transient. There is only one moment in which it truly exists. Of course, it’s like that with everything in life. But in music it shows itself in such a forceful way that you can’t escape it.
What to do to win the wrestling match with this special moment?
I go back to my heart. My courageous heart. The heart that shows me what is really important. A heart that pays no attention to trivialities. A heart that makes me forget what I am not….
The courageous heart is full of magic. If I trust this pulse, it leads me to the most beautiful place in the world at that critical moment. This most beautiful place is a moment of bliss when I can no longer distinguish whether I have landed with the Beatles, Mozart, Mr. Carpenter or the frogs at the lake.
This place is so beautiful because it knows no mistakes. And because it knows only the music.
